Briolette wrapping has been the order of today.
After the disastrous attempt made last week I decided to email the company where I purchased them and ask if they had any advice and it would appear that I was using the right wire all along. I think because it’s so thin and I’m used to working with much lower gauge wire I was a bit scared that it wouldn’t be sufficient. So I practiced lots this afternoon, so much so that I had to pop round to Jo’s and noble some of hers.
I’m not showing pictures of them today though as I’m going to try a few more tonight and show you some that I’m happy with. What I do have to show you tonight though is the amethyst commission that started the whole wrapping saga off, hope you like it I’m told that she loved it!
Also there is good news and bad news on the Step by Step Wire Jewellery tutorial front, they contacted me the day to let me know that the earrings part of the tutorial is not going to be in the magazine as they want to put it onto the Beading Daily website, obviously something that I’m extremely excited about. The bad news is that it’s not going to be in the magazine now until May which is a bit of a bummer because as you know I’m very impatient and want to see it now!
Anyhoo, the briolettes are calling, hope you have a great weekend.
